I started growing these Paperwhites awhile ago-see my October 25th post. Now they are in bloom! I know some people don’t like their smell but I do–it reminds me of the holidays since that is the only time I actually grow these paperwhites.

it’s paperwhite time of year October 25, 2007
Every year around now paperwhite and amaryllis bulbs become available (whole foods, garden stores) and you can plant the bulbs using either soil or pebbles. This year I’m trying to re-harvest my amaryllis bulb from last year–supposedly hard to do so we’ll see. All year it’s been stored in my dark closet. Some pictures of the bulbs beginning….
